How we educate
The Salesian way of educating is a positive approach, which finds its model in Jesus, the Good Shepherd, who loves and cares for each person.
It is based on three principles
- Reason, which expresses itself as reasonableness and flexibility in rules and requests
- Religion, which helps people to find meaning in their life and to develop a sense of the presence of God in every person
- Loving kindness, where the young people know that they are loved and are thus helped to develop to their full potential.
The style of spirituality handed down to us by our founders, St. John Bosco and St. Mary Mazzarelloo is very simple: seeing Jesus in the young people and seeing all ourt young people in Jesus. Everyday life is where we meet God.
The characteristics of our spirituality are:
Love of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament
Friendship with Mary our Help, who as a woman understands us on our journey through life.
Prayer is vital in our daily lives- personal and with others.Through our prayer times and the celebration of the Eucharist w nurture our relationship with the lord in the many disguises in which we encounter Him daily.
We also take time throughout the year for reflection days, annual retreat, community faith sharing and spiritual direction is encouraged.
